Neurodiversity Mozfest 2021

The MozFest 2021 call for proposals is officially open and we are inviting everyone — technologists, designers, activists, artists, educators and policymakers — to submit a session to the Neurodiversity space, returning after its inaugural year at the 10th Mozilla Festival in 2019.

We’re excited to hear from anyone who wants to share their creative, educational, insightful, story-telling sessions exploring anything Tech, Digital or Creative through the lens of Neurodiversity, encouraging the participation of neurodiverse voices, experiences, expertise and specialist interests to intersect with and grow the conversation on and for internet health.

Connect, Explore, Share

The Mozilla Festival’s strength has always been its desire to create an inclusive community spirit in which everybody can respect and accept difference. The festival generates a passion to create opportunities for people to come together with a common vision and desire to celebrate all strands of MozFest’s diverse community, in an environment that encourages creative growth and mutual respect. Post-Covid we’ve learned that it’s necessary to reconnect with the world, to promote life, openness and the idea of a future.

The Neurodiversity space is a part of the Mozilla festival in which to celebrate individual uniqueness and also explore the similarities which bind us together. With 1 in 7 people identifying as neurodivergent (ND) and many feeling isolated from society, the Neurodiversity space aims to provide everyone, particularly ND individuals a safe space to be themselves in order to have their voices heard and demonstrate their talents.

The goal is to bring together the whole neurodiverse community (neurodivergent and neurotypical) in a blaze of innovation, creativity and harmony. Using a neurodiverse lens, we aim to present and showcase things not yet seen and not yet heard about to work as a content engine linking specialisms, thoughts and ideas.

The Neurodiversity space aims to create a place of exploration, openness and acceptance for creative production and multicultural exchange. It’s about generating creativity and inspiration, gathering talents from all over the world to celebrate Neurodiversity and its community.

Share your ideas

It’s not too late to submit a proposal to join us in the Neurodiversity space; release your potential through artistic expression, discussion, interactive workshops and neurodivergent friendly networking sessions.

You can explore the space descriptions at Mozfest and submit your ideas for the Neurodiversity space through the call for proposals. If you’re new to MozFest or facilitating sessions you can check out MozFest 101.

The call closes on the 30th November so feel free to reach out to us and we can help you with your idea and the submission.
